........It is stated under chapter II, no. 12 of Lumen Gentium that the Holy Spirit "also distributes special graces among the faithful of every rank... Whether these charisms be very remarkable or more simple and widely diffused, they are to be received with thanksgiving and consolation since they are fitting and useful for the needs of the church ...

'Extinguish not the spirit. Despise not prophecies.  But prove all things; hold fast that which is good.' (1 Thess 5: 19)"
