The following are excerpts from the letters of Bishops who endorsed the Nationwide & Global Total Consecration last December 8, 2012.

       Believe it or not, Mary Mediatrix of All Grace in 1948 asked for the consecration of all to Jesus through Her Immaculate Heart in the manner offered by St. Louis Marie Grignon de Montfort.  Many are convinced that the consecration of the whole nation is the desire of the Blessed Virgin Mary to preserve this country from natural and moral disasters that unceasingly threaten it.  It is clear that God and the Blessed Virgin Mary expect our Pueblo Amante de Maria to be the last bastion of fidelity to God and to Her and become also the instrument of renewal for the other countries in the world to rediscover the importance of faith in God.

       I therefore endorse the proposal of many of our laity to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception this year by the Total Consecration of our land to God through Mary. We have organized in the Archdiocese of Lipa a 5 PM Eucharist wherein our whole archdiocese will make such total consecration. This has been done as early as June 3 in the Shrine of Our Lady of Caysasay in Labac, Taal, Batangas. We will do it again more extensively on December 8, 2012 aware that other (arch)dioceses will be doing the same at the exact time. May I endorse to you again this move so that God-willing, our whole nation in all the Cathedrals of our country simultaneously will offer the Eucharist and consecrate our people and our nation to Christ through Mary. What a wonderful gift this would be on this great feast of our redemption! What great blessings this united prayer of the entire country will bring to our beloved Philippines and to the whole world!

       Let us make this miracle happen and expect more miracles from God through Mary as we remain always united under the maternal protection of the Queen of heaven and earth and the love of Almighty God. .. read full letter

      I would like to do this activity in communion with all the Bishops of the Philippines so that it is not done only out of our personal devotion on our own efforts alone. Let us show by such acts that we bishops successors of the Apostles in the Philippines are one. I  on my part will mobilize the Diocese for such activity in connection with the Year of the Faith. But how I wish I am in communion with the whole /church on this.

      I would like to express by this present letter that I agree to have the Archdiocese of Jaro participate in the TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary which the other Arch/Dioceses will be making. Please send copies of the prayer and other materials for promotion of the project.  May St. Louis Marie de Montfort whose prayer of TOTAL CONSECRATION pray for us and guide in our work of building a new earth of love, peace and joy.

       This is just to thank you for your letter dated September 8 (2012) inviting me to join the nationwide and global Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, by having the TC prayer prayed after Communion in all Masses on December 8, 2012 in the Archdiocese of Palo.  I also commit myself to preside a Holy Mass with my priests on that same day in union with other bishops.
       Indeed our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary is very important in the work of salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.  With one heart, one soul, and as one nation, let us join consecrate our people to the maternal care of the Blessed Mother.

..........On December 8, 2012, the whole universal Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let this day be an  occasion for us to do an act of thanksgiving for the canonization of St. Pedro Calungsod by surrendering and giving our lives completely to Jesus through His Most Blessed Mother. Thus, on Dec. 8, the day for Nationwide and Global Total Consecration, I shall lead the praying of  the TOTAL CONSECRATION to Jesus through Mary by St. Louis Marie de Montfort during   the mass after Holy Communion. I would like to invite the clergy, religious and faithful to have the TOTAL CONSECRATION prayed after Communion in their Masses.

Nationwide & Global Total Conseration was done last December 8, 2012 by 16 dioceses throughout the country. Main celebration happened in San Sebastian cathedral in Batangas by Archbishop Ramon C. Arguelles. Photos to be posted soon.
